What should my child wear to class?
The suggested class attire for girls is leotard or shorts/t-shirt (shorts no longer than the knee). The suggested attire for boys is shorts/t-shirt (shorts no longer than the knee). Aerial Silks students need to wear pants/leggings with a leotard or t-shirt. Hair must be tied back out of the face of the student and no jewelry should be worn. All students will go in to the gym with no socks/no shoes.
What are some of your safety rules?
Students should plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to class. This should give them ample time to get dressed and report for warm-ups. If a student misses warm-ups, injuries could occur. Students are not permitted on the equipment unless they are with an instructor. Please stay off the equipment and off the gym floor until your class starts. Eating and chewing gum is not allowed in the gym area.
How does student drop off work?
Students MAY NOT be dropped off any earlier than 10 minutes prior to class and picked up no later than 10 minutes after their class. Students are also not permitted to wait outside after class for their ride. Safety is our #1 concern at Maximum Athletics so please emphasize the importance of this rule to your child.
What is expected of parents while in the gym?
Parents ARE NOT permitted into the gym area unless participating with a Parent & Me Class. Instructors may invite parents to accompany their child out on the floor or sit nearby. This is ONLY at the discretion of the instructor or other gym staff. DO NOT DISTRACT YOUR CHILD OR OTHER MEMBERS OF THE CLASS BY CALLING OR WAVING WHILE CLASS IS IN PROGRESS. Every student’s attention should be with the instructor. This is for their safety as well as courtesy.
What about siblings?
Siblings are welcome at Maximum Athletics WITH parental supervision. Any siblings under the age of 18 years old MAY NOT be dropped off with a student that has a class. We cannot and are not equipped to supervise siblings of students enrolled in our program.
Do you have a lost and found?
We have a designated place for our Lost & Found Items. Please check periodically for items your child may have left behind. Any items left after a one month period will be donated to local charities.
Where can I park?
You may park in any parking space in the parking lot. Please do not park on the side of the street. Please enter the parking lot from Red Bay Circle and exit onto Sweetgum Rd.
What are some of your other policies?
How does tuition and payment work?
Our year is based on 48 weeks of classes with the yearly tuition averaged over 12 months. Some months may have more than 4 weeks and some may have less than 4 weeks, but the tuition amount remains the same each month. Payment is due by the 1st of the month. We automatically draft your credit card or bank draft that is on file on the 25th of the month. A late fee of $15 will be added to all unpaid accounts on the 2nd of the month. If your payment is not received by the 15th of the month, we reserve the right to withdraw your child from class. If you are withdrawn for non-payment, a new registration fee must be paid in order to return to class.
What happens when there is a gym holiday?
Gym holidays are not eligible for make-ups or tuition proration.
How do makeups work?
When you register your child for class, you are paying for your child’s place in that class, not their attendance. We do not owe make-up classes or credit for missed classes. However, we understand that children get ill and families have schedule conflicts; therefore we will allow your child one make-up class per month for missed classes and only one carried over to the next month. The make-up class must be scheduled with the office and is subject to class availability. Make-ups must be completed while your child is enrolled in class and cannot be carried over to a new year’s enrollment. We offer unlimited make-ups in the summer due to travel conflicts, but all make-ups must be used before we start the new fall schedule.
Can my child receive private lessons?
Private lessons are available for all of our students and are scheduled with the coach. Fees are due prior to the start of the lesson and are paid in the office.
